Don't buy the Fig 'N' Oats fig bars. They are seriously nasty and nothing like the picture on the box. The store itself was fine.

It's the only game in town, but Like all of Snohomish County it is smaller and weirder than what I am used to in Tacoma. It is also expensive. There doesn't seem to be a point or benefit to being a member and entering your phone number. I like to stop by for a thing or two, but because of the size and prices it is not my main stop. Which is unfortunate given how lacking in markets and good groceries stores this area is. They also rearranged the deli area a while back, in a way that makes it less likely for me to use, as in I stopped using the deli at all. A local co-op should have much more in the produce section. Thankfully, there is a good farmers market in town. Maybe one day they can expand in size. Everett is such a small town that Lake Chelan has a bigger and better hippie store. . lol.

Did this place get bought out by private equity? Serious question. The products are less and less mom and pop and the same capitalist junk you get at Walmart, just β€œfarm-washed” advertising. They have big tv screens by the registers now that run ads and it’s just giving Walmart, I don’t want tvs in my hippy co-ops, I pay a premium for a reason. The vibes are off lately.

I love this place. Please be warned that the store is quite small and it is hard to move around with a cart. For this reason, I suggest using the hand baskets for shopping. I recommend this place and love the variety. It is by no means cheap to shop there. But good quality food does cost a bit and this place delivers on that. Friendly staff, interesting customers (yay hipsters ), a well-stocked beer cage, and a very nice bakery & deli that makes delicious food. If you haven't been, please go. Also, the lady (at check out) I spoke with on Monday 6/24/24 around 2pm really made my day with her kindness. I don't get much of that anymore and it makes the vibe of the store more special. I am coming back more often.
